A handheld conversion of Donkey Kong Country for Game Boy Color. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong set out to recover their stolen banana hoard from King K. Rool and the Kremlings, travelling through jungle, cave, water, mine and snow stages. You control one Kong at a time and can swap between them, each with slightly different handling, and you roll, jump and throw barrels to defeat enemies. Stages hide bonus rooms, KONG letters and hidden items, and animal buddies give you alternative ways to move through certain areas. Mine cart rides and swimming sections break up the platforming, and boss fights close out each world. The cartridge is in colour and includes save support so you can continue a run across sessions.
