A handheld entry in the Adventure Island series for the Game Boy. You control Master Higgins, moving left to right through jungle, cave, water and snow stages while a vitality meter drains and must be refilled by collecting fruit. Contact with an enemy or hazard costs a life unless you are shielded, so timing jumps and throws matters throughout. Hidden eggs contain weapons such as thrown axes and boomerangs, along with rideable dinosaur companions that grant abilities like fire breath or safer travel through water. A map screen lets you pick between areas, and stages end in boss encounters. The presentation is scaled down for the Game Boy's monochrome screen while keeping the series' short, hazard-dense level design.
