A Game Boy action game based on the Last Action Hero film, in which you control tough cop Jack Slater. Play is side-scrolling, with punches and kicks used to clear enemies as you move through urban and interior settings, and platforming sections that require jumping between ledges and hazards. Enemies arrive in groups and you work through each stage toward its end point while managing a health meter. The presentation is monochrome and built around the film's characters and settings, with cutscene-style screens framing the action between levels. As with many licensed handheld titles of its era, stages are short and self-contained, making it suited to brief sessions on original Game Boy hardware or later compatible systems.
