The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin is a side-scrolling action game for the Sega CD, an expanded version of the Mega Drive title. You play as Spider-Man, framed for a crime and working against a deadline to clear your name by confronting a series of Marvel villains under the Kingpin's employ. Movement combines running, jumping, wall-crawling and web-swinging, and your web supply is a resource you must manage and replenish as you fight through each stage. Photographing action along the way earns money that can be spent on web fluid. The Sega CD release adds a recorded soundtrack and animated cutscenes between stages, taking advantage of the disc format's audio and storage.
