Supreme Warrior is a full-motion video fighting game presented almost entirely from a first-person perspective. Rather than controlling a visible character, you see the action through the fighter's own eyes, with your hands appearing at the edges of the screen as you punch, block and kick. Opponents are live-action martial artists filmed on video, and your inputs cue different clips of attacks, dodges and counters, so combat is about reading the footage and reacting with the correct move at the correct moment. The story is framed around a martial arts quest involving a masked villain and pieces of a mystical mask, with filmed cutscenes and dubbed dialogue linking the fights. Progression runs through a series of individual opponents, each with their own patterns to learn.
