An action game for PlayStation Portable based on the film 300, casting you as King Leonidas of Sparta during the campaign against the invading Persian army. Combat is melee-focused: you fight with spear, sword and shield, chaining light and heavy attacks into combos, blocking and countering, and finishing weakened enemies with brutal killing blows. Levels move through narrow passes, beaches and encampments filled with waves of soldiers, and boss encounters punctuate the campaign. At points you command a line of Spartan soldiers, ordering formations such as the phalanx to push against enemy ranks or hold ground. Defeating enemies earns points used to strengthen your abilities and unlock additional moves. The presentation leans on the film's stylised look, with heavy use of slow motion, stark lighting and copious blood during fights.
