3Xtreme is a downhill racing game for the PlayStation and part of the Extreme Games series. Instead of cars, you compete on gravity-powered gear such as skateboards, inline skates and bikes, riding twisting courses that drop steeply downhill through jumps, ramps and shortcuts. Each rider and vehicle type handles differently, so your choice affects top speed, cornering and how well you land tricks. Courses are lined with hazards and other racers, and you can shove or attack rivals to open up space while you fight for position. Along with straight races there are modes for practising and for playing against a second person on a split screen. Winning events unlocks additional content to use in later races.
