7 Wonders of the Ancient World is a tile-matching puzzle game for the PlayStation Portable. You move a cursor over a grid of coloured blocks and clear them in matching groups, and every clear feeds the construction of a monument shown alongside the board. Stages are themed around the wonders of the ancient world, with a structure rising piece by piece as you work through the puzzle. Power-ups and special tiles turn up during play, giving you ways to clear larger areas or break up difficult formations. The short, self-contained stages suit handheld play, and the game can be picked up and put down between levels without losing much progress. Controls are kept simple, relying on the directional buttons or analogue nub and a single confirm button to make matches.
