Alundra 2 is an action role-playing game for the PlayStation and a follow-up to Alundra, though it moves the series into fully three-dimensional environments rather than the original's overhead pixel art. You play as Flint, a pirate hunter drawn into a conflict involving a kingdom and mechanical foes. Play mixes real-time sword combat with dungeon exploration and puzzle solving, and the puzzles remain a substantial part of the design, often asking you to manipulate objects and mechanisms to open the way forward. Towns act as hubs where you talk to characters, take on tasks and prepare for the next area. The story is presented with voiced cutscenes and a lighter, more comedic tone than its predecessor.
