Arena Football Road to Glory is a PlayStation 2 football game built around the indoor game, played on a short field with eight players per side and walls surrounding the playing surface. The confined space and rebound nets behind the uprights keep the ball live and push the pace higher than outdoor football, with scoring drives often taking only a few plays. Alongside exhibition games and season play, the title puts an emphasis on a career-style mode that follows a player's progress through the league. Play calling, passing and running controls follow the conventions of console football titles of the era, adapted to the arena rules on motion and player positioning. Teams and rosters come from the Arena Football League.
