The PlayStation 2 version of Army Men: Green Rogue puts you in control of a lone, heavily armed green soldier fighting the Tan army across mission-based levels. The camera sits above the action, and play centers on constant movement, switching between machine guns, explosives and heavier ordnance as waves of enemy infantry, tanks and gun positions appear. Ammunition and health pickups are scattered through each stage, and much of the environment can be shot apart. The toy-soldier premise is carried through the visuals: plastic troops and vehicles fight across oversized human-scale settings, from open ground to industrial interiors. Objectives are laid out at the start of each mission and the level ends when they are complete. Play is single-player.
