Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 is a third-person action game set in the plastic world of toy soldiers. You play as Sarge, leading the Green army against the Tan forces across missions that move between military-style battlefields and oversized real-world locations, where household objects become terrain and obstacles. Play centers on shooting, using cover and completing objectives such as rescuing troops, destroying enemy emplacements and gathering equipment. An arsenal of scaled-down weaponry is available, including rifles, grenades, flamethrowers and mortars, and some missions place you in vehicles or turrets. Levels are built around linear objectives with enemy patrols and fixed defenses to clear, and briefings between stages carry the story forward. The presentation leans on the toy-soldier premise throughout, with plastic-looking characters and environments viewed from a human-scale perspective.
