You ride through open outdoor areas such as trails, fields, and wooded ground, steering your horse, breaking into a gallop, and jumping fences and other obstacles as you complete tasks tied to locating and helping horses. Between rides, the game includes stable activities such as grooming, feeding, and equipping your horse with different tack and colours. Objectives are given as short missions with clear goals, and the challenge is aimed at younger players, favouring exploration and riding over precision or time pressure. Presentation is bright and outdoorsy, with a small cast of characters and dialogue scenes framing the rescue story. Riding controls use the standard PlayStation 2 pad.
