Battlesport is a futuristic vehicular sport played out in enclosed arenas. You pilot an armed hovertank and compete against an opponent, scoring by getting a ball into goal targets placed around the playfield while also using weapons to disable the other machine. Arenas vary in layout, with obstacles, walls and hazards that shape how you line up shots and cut off your rival. Between matches you can spend earnings on upgrades such as better weapons, armour and engines to prepare for tougher opposition. The presentation is spare and functional, with a first-person view from inside the tank and a radar to help you track the ball and your opponent. It blends arena shooting with sports scoring rather than committing fully to either.
