Battlestar Galactica is a space combat game based on the science fiction series. You fly Colonial fighters against Cylon forces, taking on mission objectives such as escorting and defending ships, intercepting attackers, and destroying enemy craft and installations. Controls are arcade-oriented rather than simulation-heavy: you handle throttle, guns and missiles, with targeting aids and radio chatter guiding you toward the next objective. Missions are strung together with story sequences that draw on the show's setting of a fleet fleeing pursuit through space. Environments include open space, asteroid fields and the areas around capital ships, where you weave between hulls and gun emplacements. The emphasis is on dogfighting and objective completion across a series of self-contained sorties.
