Blokus Portable: Steambot Championship is a PlayStation Portable adaptation of the Blokus board game, dressed in the art style and characters of the Steambot Chronicles series. Play follows the board game's rules: each player has a set of flat pieces made of squares in different shapes, and pieces you place must touch at least one corner of another of your own pieces while never sharing an edge with them. The aim is to fit as many of your pieces onto the grid as possible while cutting off your opponents' room to expand. The handheld version adds tournament-style single-player play against computer opponents with differing behaviour, along with multiplayer matches, giving the abstract strategy a cartoon presentation and framing story.
