Brave Fencer Musashi is an action-RPG for the original PlayStation. You play as Musashi, a small swordsman summoned into another world by a kingdom in trouble, and you fight, platform and solve light puzzles across connected outdoor and dungeon areas. Musashi carries two swords: one used for standard attacks, and a special blade that lets him drain an enemy's power and then copy that ability for his own use. Elemental scrolls give you further attacks as you progress. Towns and villages play into the structure, with townspeople to rescue and a day-and-night cycle that means Musashi has to eat and sleep to recover. The tone is comic, with cartoon-styled 3D characters, voiced cutscenes and a soundtrack that leans bright and upbeat alongside the boss fights.
