Call of Duty: Roads to Victory is a World War II first-person shooter built for the PSP. The campaign is divided between American, British and Canadian forces, moving through European battlefields as a series of relatively short, objective-driven missions suited to handheld play. You fight through towns, countryside and fortified positions alongside AI soldiers, using period rifles, submachine guns, machine guns and grenades, with mounted weapons and emplacements at certain points. Controls are adapted to the PSP's single analogue nub and face buttons, with aiming assists to help line up shots. Between missions, briefings and mission objectives frame each engagement in the wider Allied advance. Multiplayer for several players over local wireless was part of the original release. The presentation follows the series' style of scripted set pieces and heavy battlefield audio.
