The follow-up to the Capcom versus SNK crossover, this 2D fighter expands the roster with characters from both companies' fighting series and broadens the system options. You assemble a team using the ratio system, spending a set allowance on a group of fighters or concentrating it into fewer, stronger ones, then pick a groove that determines your meter behaviour, dashing, and defensive options such as running, rolling, or parrying. Because grooves are chosen separately from characters, the same fighter can be built around very different tactics. Matches play out one-on-one until one side's team is eliminated. The PlayStation 2 version includes arcade, versus, training, and survival-style play alongside customisable groove settings.
