The PSP version of Cars Race-O-Rama is an arcade racing game featuring characters from the Pixar films, led by Lightning McQueen. You work through a progression of events tied to a racing competition storyline, competing against familiar Radiator Springs cars and new rivals. Event types go beyond plain circuit racing to include off-road runs, stunt-based challenges and mini-games, with courses set across desert roads, dirt tracks and paved speedways. Drifting, jumps and trick driving build a boost meter used for bursts of speed, encouraging sliding through corners rather than braking. Completing events unlocks additional racers, tracks and customisation options for your car. The handheld release keeps controls straightforward, with acceleration, brake, drift and boost, and includes multiplayer racing against another player.
