Chicken Little: Ace in Action is an action game for PlayStation 2 that takes its cue from the comic-book, science-fiction version of the characters introduced at the end of the Disney film. You play through levels as Ace, with Runt and Abby also playable, each handling differently: on-foot shooting, mech-style combat and vehicle sequences all feature across the campaign. Missions involve fighting off alien forces, escorting or protecting objectives, and blasting through waves of enemies with upgradeable weapons. The presentation is bright and cartoonish, with comic-styled cutscenes carrying the plot between stages. Levels are relatively short and the controls straightforward, aiming the game at younger players and families rather than experienced shooter fans. A two-player option lets a second person join in on some of the action.
