Class of Heroes 2 continues the PlayStation Portable series of first-person, grid-based dungeon crawlers built around a school for adventurers. You create your own students, assigning race, class and stats, then organize them into a party arranged in ranks that affect who can attack and who takes hits. Exploration happens one step at a time through mazes filled with random encounters, traps and hidden passages, with an automap filling in as you go. Battles are turn-based and handled through menus, and success relies on balancing spellcasters, fighters and support roles while watching resources. Back at the academy you take on requests, buy gear, and adjust your roster before heading out again. It is a text- and menu-heavy game aimed at players who enjoy careful party building and methodical mapping.
