Clock Tower 3 is a survival horror game for PlayStation 2. You play as Alyssa, a schoolgirl who returns home to find her mother missing and is drawn into a series of eerie locations tied to violent deaths from the past. Play is split between exploration and pursuit: while a stalker is hunting you, direct combat is not an option, so you run, break line of sight and duck into wardrobes, under beds and behind furniture until the danger passes. Panic builds when you are cornered, making Alyssa harder to control until she calms down. Between chases you search rooms for keys, documents and items, and each chapter closes with a confrontation where you use a bow charged with holy water. Cutscenes carry much of the story between areas.
