Coded Arms: Contagion is a first-person shooter for PSP and a follow-up to the original Coded Arms, again set within a virtual computer system overrun by hostile programs. You fight through digital environments against automated enemies, collecting weapons and upgrades that let you adjust your loadout as missions get harder. Compared with the first game, the campaign leans more on designed levels and mission objectives, with story sequences framing your incursions into the system. Enemy types range from small swarming units to heavier opponents that require cover and positioning. Multiplayer is included for matches against other players. Aiming uses the PSP's analogue nub together with the face and shoulder buttons, and the presentation keeps the series' stark, geometric take on virtual space.
