Colony Wars: Vengeance is a space combat game for the PlayStation and a follow-up to the original Colony Wars. This time you fly for the Earth Empire side of the conflict, taking on missions against the League that defeated it. Gameplay is squad-based dogfighting and strike work in open space: intercepting fighters, running escort duty, disabling capital ships and hitting ground and orbital targets, all with shields, afterburners and swappable secondary weapons. The campaign branches based on whether you succeed or fail, so losing a mission pushes you down a different path rather than forcing a restart, and there are multiple endings depending on how your career plays out. Voiced briefings and cutscenes carry the story between missions.
