Commandos Strike Force moves the Commandos series into a first-person perspective. Set during the Second World War, it puts you in control of three specialists across its missions: a Green Beret who handles direct combat and close-quarters kills, a sniper who works at range, and a spy who wears enemy uniforms to walk through guarded areas unchallenged. Some missions let you switch between characters, using one to create an opening for another. Stealth still matters, with silent takedowns, hidden bodies and uniform disguises, but firefights are far more common than in the earlier overhead games. Objectives include sabotage, assassination and rescue, taking place in occupied towns, snowbound outposts and military installations. Weapons are period-appropriate rifles, submachine guns, explosives and mounted emplacements.
