Cool Boarders 2 continues the PlayStation snowboarding series with more riders, boards and courses to work through. You race down mountain runs against the clock, launching off jumps and ramps to perform aerial tricks entered with button and direction combinations. Grabs, spins and flips can be chained for larger scores, but landings have to be controlled or you wipe out and lose momentum. Courses mix wide open slopes with narrower sections, obstacles and terrain that affects how the board handles. Alongside downhill events there are trick-oriented modes where scoring matters more than finishing time, and successful runs unlock further riders and equipment. Control is arcade-leaning, with speed and recovery from mistakes mattering more than realistic physics.
