Cool Boarders 3 is a PlayStation snowboarding game built around downhill runs and aerial tricks. You select a rider and board, then descend courses that mix open slopes, narrow paths, jumps and obstacles, chaining grabs, spins and flips performed with button and direction inputs while airborne. Landings need to be lined up properly or you crash and lose speed and score. Events include timed races and trick-scoring runs, and doing well opens up additional riders and equipment. The physics lean arcade rather than simulation, rewarding players who learn each course's jump placement and keep momentum through turns. A trailing camera keeps the board and upcoming terrain in view, and multiplayer options let a second player compete on the same courses.
