This handheld version of Crash Mind Over Mutant brings the series' brawler-platformer format to PSP. You control Crash through linked environments, clearing out enemies with melee attacks and combos instead of relying only on jumping challenges. Weakened mutants can be hijacked and ridden, letting Crash borrow their attacks and use their strength to smash through obstacles and open up new routes, so switching creatures becomes part of progressing. Doctor Neo Cortex is behind the trouble, and the game keeps the cartoon slapstick presentation the series is known for in its animation and voice work. The layout and scale are adapted for the PSP's single analog nub and button setup, and it can be played in shorter sessions as you work through areas.
