Set in the Forgotten Realms, Demon Stone is a third-person action game for PlayStation 2 in which you control a party of three adventurers: a warrior, a sorcerer and a rogue. Only one is active at a time, and you swap between them on the fly to suit the situation, using the fighter for direct melee, the spellcaster for ranged magic and the rogue for quick strikes and stealth kills. Combat is combo-driven against large groups of enemies, and defeating them earns points you spend on new attacks and abilities for each character. Levels are largely linear and move through dungeons, ruins and battlefields, punctuated by cinematic story sequences and boss encounters as the heroes work to stop a released evil.
