Disgaea Infinite is a visual novel spin-off from the Disgaea tactical RPG series, so there are no grid battles here. You take the role of a Prinny caught in a plot to assassinate the Overlord Laharl, and the day repeats until you can work out what actually happened. Your main tool is the ability to possess characters and listen in on their conversations, gathering information from different points of view. Knowledge you collect lets you change the flow of events on later loops, branching the story toward different outcomes and endings. Presentation uses character portraits, backgrounds and voiced dialogue, with progression driven by reading, listening and choosing where to jump next rather than combat. Familiar faces from the series fill out the cast.
