Dissidia Final Fantasy is a fighting game for the PSP that pits heroes and villains from across the Final Fantasy series against one another. Battles take place in fully three-dimensional arenas where you can run along walls, climb and fly between platforms, chasing your opponent through the space. Combat splits attacks into two types: Brave attacks that build up your damage potential, and HP attacks that convert that stored value into actual damage, so managing the balance between the two is central to fighting well. Characters also have summons and powerful EX Mode transformations. Outside of battle the game uses role-playing systems, with experience levels, equipment, abilities and accessories to customise each fighter. Modes include a story campaign following each character, arcade-style ladders and ad hoc multiplayer against another PSP owner.
