Donald Duck Going Quackers is a platformer in which Donald sets out to save Daisy from the magician Merlock. Levels switch between 3D sections viewed from behind Donald and side-scrolling stretches with a fixed camera, so the game moves between two styles of platforming as you progress. Donald's moves include jumping, climbing, a spin attack and a downward slam for breaking objects and dealing with enemies, and each stage holds collectibles that unlock extra content. Chase sequences run through the game, with Donald escaping or pursuing at high speed. Worlds draw their settings from the Disney duck cartoons, and each closes with a boss encounter. The art and animation follow the cartoon source closely, with voice work and slapstick humour. This PlayStation 2 version uses a standard controller.
