ECW Hardcore Revolution is a 3D wrestling game based on the Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion. You pick from a roster of ECW wrestlers and compete in singles, tag and multi-competitor matches, using a control scheme built around strikes, grapples, reversals and pinning attempts. In keeping with ECW's reputation, weapons such as chairs and tables can be brought into play, and fights spill outside the ring into the crowd area. The game includes a career-style mode with championship pursuits, exhibition matches, and a create-a-wrestler feature for building your own competitor with custom appearance and moves. Multiplayer supports matches against friends in the various match types. Wrestlers are rendered as polygonal models in arena environments, with commentary and entrance sequences framing each bout.
