F1 Racing Championship is an officially licensed Formula One game for the original PlayStation, featuring the real teams, drivers and circuits of the championship it covers. You race from a cockpit or chase view through practice, qualifying and the grand prix itself, with options for single races, time trials and a full season. Car setup can be tuned before sessions, and driving aids such as traction and braking assistance can be enabled to make the handling more forgiving. Race distance, weather conditions and opponent skill are adjustable, and tyre wear, fuel load and damage affect strategy over longer distances. Pit stops are part of extended races. Two players can compete in split-screen. Presentation follows a television broadcast style with on-screen timing and standings.
