F1 World Grand Prix 1999 brings the series to the original PlayStation with an official Formula One licence covering that season's teams, drivers and tracks. You work through practice, qualifying and the race across single events or a full championship, with time trials available for chasing lap times. Setup adjustments such as aerodynamics, gearing and tyre compound can be made between sessions, and assists for steering and braking can be turned on or off to suit your experience level. Race distance, weather and AI difficulty are all adjustable, while tyre wear, fuel consumption and car damage shape pit stop decisions in longer races. Cockpit and external camera views are provided along with replays, and split-screen racing is supported for two players.
