Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is an action game for the PlayStation 2 set in the post-apocalyptic Fallout universe. Rather than the turn-based, isometric role-playing of the earlier computer entries, it uses a top-down view and real-time combat, sending you through irradiated wastes, settlements and enemy-held ruins while fighting raiders, mutants and other wasteland threats. You choose a character at the start and take on work for the Brotherhood of Steel, gaining experience, better weapons and armour as you push through areas. Combat covers melee weapons and a range of firearms and explosives, with plenty of gore. Two players can play through the campaign together on one console. Familiar Fallout elements such as retro-futuristic technology, super mutants and power armour appear, and the soundtrack uses licensed rock and metal tracks.
