Felony 11-79 is a mission-based driving game for the PlayStation in which you play the criminal rather than the police. Each stage sets a task in a city environment, such as reaching a destination within a time limit or causing a required amount of destruction, while pursuers try to stop you. Traffic, street furniture and scenery can be smashed through, and your car takes visible damage as you go, with parts deforming and falling away as the punishment adds up. Completing objectives unlocks further vehicles, which range across different sizes and handling styles. Driving is arcade-flavoured rather than simulation-focused, favouring reckless routes through built-up areas over clean racing lines. The game was released in other regions under the Runabout name, and later titles continued the same destructive mission format.
