Fighter Maker 2 is a PlayStation 2 fighting game centred on creation tools rather than a fixed roster. Using an editor, you build characters by posing and keyframing their limbs to construct individual attacks, then set timing, hit detection, damage and recovery, and assemble the results into a movelist tied to button and direction inputs. Motions can be chained into combos and linked to jumps, throws and special moves. Finished fighters can be tested in one-on-one 3D matches, pitted against the game's own characters, or fought against a second player locally. There is also a selection of prebuilt fighters you can use as they are or take apart to see how their animations and properties are put together, which doubles as a way to learn the editor.
