Fighting Force 2 is an action game for the PlayStation 1 in which you play as Hawk Manson. It shifts the series away from open-street brawling toward a mission-based structure set in labs, facilities and other enclosed environments, mixing hand-to-hand combat with a stronger emphasis on firearms. You explore levels, deal with guards and security systems, find keycards and switches to open the way forward, and collect ammunition and health as you go. Melee attacks remain available for close quarters when weapons run dry. The game is single-player, with objectives to complete in each area rather than the cooperative side-scrolling progression of the original. The camera follows Hawk through 3D corridors and rooms as you move between combat encounters and exploration.
