Finding Nemo for PlayStation 2 is an action game adapting the animated film. The story follows Nemo's capture and his father Marlin's journey across the ocean to find him, covering locations from the movie including the reef, open water, the dentist's aquarium and the harbour. The game is divided into short levels that each recreate a scene, and you swim as Nemo, Marlin or Dory depending on the chapter. Objectives change from stage to stage, mixing chases, obstacle avoidance, hide-and-seek and simple puzzle tasks, with controls limited to swimming, dashing and interacting with the environment. Frequent checkpoints and an accessible difficulty level make it suited to younger players. Voice clips and story sequences drawn from the film link the levels together and keep the plot moving between missions.
