FlatOut 2 continues the series' mix of racing and wreckage. You run events across a range of environments, from dirt tracks and forest routes to city streets, with scenery that shatters and scatters as cars plough through it. Vehicles deform under impact, and collisions with rivals or track objects affect how a car drives for the rest of the race. Career progression hands out prize money for upgrades and additional cars, split into classes as you advance. Demolition arenas pit you against a field until only one car is still moving. The ragdoll stunt events return, launching your driver out of the windscreen toward targets such as dartboards, high jumps and bowling pins, scored on how well you time and aim the release. Split-screen play is included for a second player.
