The PlayStation Portable version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game puts you in the role of a new hire at the firehouse, working with the established team on ghost-catching assignments. Combat revolves around the proton pack: weaken a spirit with the stream, fight against its pull to steer it over a trap, then slam it shut. The PKE meter is used to track paranormal readings and locate targets in each area. Like the other versions built on the same stylised, cartoon-inspired art direction, it moves through a series of haunted locations with roaming enemies and larger boss ghosts, and the environments can be knocked about during fights. Voice work from the film cast accompanies the story sequences.
