The PlayStation conversion of Capcom's crossover fighting game, combining characters from Marvel comics with the cast of Street Fighter in fast 2D battles. Fights are contested by two-character teams, letting you switch fighters during a match and call your partner in for assist attacks, backed by air combos, chained specials and multi-level super meters. The roster mixes established Street Fighter names with Marvel heroes and villains, all drawn in Capcom's hand-animated sprite style. Modes cover single-player play against the computer, versus matches for two players on one console, and training. Because of the hardware's memory limits, the home version makes technical compromises compared with the arcade original, including changes to how partner characters appear on screen. Played with a standard PlayStation controller or an arcade stick.
