Mercury is a puzzle game for the PSP in which you guide a blob of liquid metal across floating platforms. Rather than moving the blob directly, you tilt the whole level, and the mercury flows downhill accordingly. The blob splits apart when it hits obstacles or narrow paths, and losing too much of its mass means failing the stage, so keeping the mass together while steering is the core challenge. Levels introduce paint stations that colour the mercury, along with gates and switches that only accept a specific colour, which means splitting the blob deliberately, colouring the halves separately and recombining them to make new shades. Moving platforms, hazards, timers and other obstacles are added as you progress. Stages are scored on time, remaining mass and objectives completed, encouraging replays for better results.
