NHL Open Ice 2 on 2 Challenge is Midway's arcade hockey game, brought to the original PlayStation from the coin-op original. Each side fields two skaters and a goalie on a shortened rink, so play is constant back-and-forth rushes with big hits, bone-jarring boards checks, and no whistles for offsides or icing. Scoring and clean play heat up your shooter, adding flames to the puck and extra power to shots. NHL teams and players are licensed, and you pick a two-man lineup from a roster before each match. Games are short, with an emphasis on quick scoring and turnovers rather than strategy or line management. Multiple players can join in on one console, either competing against each other or teaming up against the computer.
This listing is for an authentic original disc — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
