OverBlood is a science-fiction adventure for the original PlayStation, played in fully polygonal 3D environments rather than the pre-rendered backdrops common to the era's survival-horror games. You wake in a cryogenic pod inside an isolated research facility with no memory of who you are or what has happened there, and set about exploring the complex to piece the story together. Play mixes cautious exploration with item collection, machinery and switch puzzles, and occasional confrontations, all delivered with tank-style character control and fixed-camera and free-camera views. A small robot companion accompanies you and figures into both the plot and some puzzle solutions. Cutscenes and voiced dialogue carry a story concerned with the facility's experiments and the corporation behind them.
