A handheld version of the PlayStation rhythm game starring PaRappa, a rapping dog trying to win over Sunny Funny. Gameplay follows the same call-and-response structure: an instructor raps a line, and you answer it by pressing buttons in time with prompts that scroll across the top of the screen. Your rating rises or falls with your timing, and each stage is built around a single song with its own teacher and setting, from karate lessons to driving practice and cooking. The visual style keeps the flat, paper-cutout characters moving through 3D environments, with cartoon designs and a soundtrack of tutorial-style rap tracks. Running on PSP, it uses the system's face buttons and directional inputs for the note prompts.
