An action role-playing game for PlayStation 2 set across a group of planets travelled by spacefaring mercenaries. You join a crew and take on jobs that send you to different worlds, each with its own environments, enemies and townspeople. Combat happens in real time, with your character attacking and using special abilities while allies fight alongside you and can be switched to or directed. Progress comes from levelling up, gathering money and materials, and upgrading weapons and skills between missions. Towns serve as hubs for shops, quests and story scenes, while dungeons and outdoor areas hold the fighting and exploration. The game uses cel-shaded characters, animated cutscenes and voice acting, with an ongoing plot following the crew as its jobs pull them into larger events.
