The PlayStation 2 version of Web of Shadows, which is a different game from the open-world release on the higher-end consoles. Here the action plays out in 2.5D, with Spider-Man moving along largely side-on stages while wall-crawling, swinging and fighting through waves of symbiote-infected enemies during an invasion of New York. You can switch between the red suit and the black symbiote suit mid-combat, with each offering a different attack style, and combos chain aerial and ground moves together. Other Marvel heroes appear as allies you can call in to help clear a fight. Levels progress through city districts and end in boss confrontations, and earned experience unlocks additional attacks and upgrades.
